The purpose of the Conference is to summarize and share leading scientific and practical experiences in the field of child and youth education, as well as to foster international humanitarian cooperation in the upbringing of children and youth.

Conference Objectives
- To discuss the theoretical and practical aspects of the development of children's movements and the activities of children's and youth public organizations in Russia and abroad
- To exchange best practices in educational work with children and youth in the context of digitalization, globalization, and sociocultural changes
- To promote interdisciplinary dialogue among scholars, educators, psychologists, public figures, representatives of governmental bodies and organizations, and structural units of “Movement of the First”

I INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN'S MOVEMENT «THE CHILDREN'S MOVEMENT AS A SOCIAL INSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: HISTORY, THEORY, PRACTICE, PROSPECTS”
The conference took place at the venues of leading educational organizations in Saint Petersburg from December 4 to 6. The event brought together over 500 in-person participants and 1,000 online participants from 10 countries around the world.
Key Highlights
● The conference featured 14 sections and included more than 100 Russian speakers and 50 international speakers
● Participants thoroughly examined and discussed the approved Program for Educational Work of the Movement
● A conference resolution was adopted, in which attendees agreed to collaboratively develop a scientific and pedagogical foundation for the children's movement, and to meet annually at the conference of “Movement of the First” to review outcomes and define future directions

II INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN'S MOVEMENT «EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN A NEW HISTORICAL STAGE OF SOCIETY AND STATE DEVELOPMENT: OUTCOMES, TECHNOLOGIES, PERSPECTIVES»
The conference was held in Moscow at the Russian Academy of Education on November 14-15, 2024 The event attracted over 500 participants from 18 countries worldwide.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
• Within the framework of 2 plenary sessions and 10 sectional meetings, more than 128 speakers presented their insights.
• Participants discussed key issues related to education and the development of the "Movement of the First."
• Special attention was given to the development of mentoring and the exchange of best practices.
• A resolution was adopted containing decisions regarding the development of the children's movement and educational work.

Criteria for Competitive Selection of Participants:
The Conference will feature public presentations by participants on their research results and experiences, the practice of organizing educational work with children and youth in the Russian children's and youth movement, educational
organizations, youth public associations in accordance with the topics of the scientific directions of the Conference.

For in-person participation with a report in the Conference sections with publication of materials in the proceedings:
*In cases of equal compliance with the criteria, priority will be given to reports that most comprehensively address current challenges and present new, evidence-based effective practices or research within the field of children's and youth movements.
- The applicant must fall into one of the eligible participant categories.
- The topic of the report must align with one of the thematic areas of the Conference.
- The abstracts must reflect the relevance of the issue within the field of children's and youth movements, as well as the upbringing of the younger generation.
- The abstracts should demonstrate scientific novelty (research) or provide a description and analysis of significant practices (practice-oriented works).
- The abstracts must adhere to specified formatting requirements.
- The abstracts should exhibit logical coherence, clarity of expression, and well-founded arguments.
- The application with the report abstracts must be submitted in accordance with the participation conditions.
*In cases of equal compliance with the criteria, priority will be given to reports that most comprehensively address current challenges and present new, evidence-based effective practices or research within the field of children's and youth movements.
For in-person participation without a report:
* In cases of equal compliance with selection criteria, priority will be given to the
applicant who submitted their application at an earlier date.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to check (including through open
sources) the place of work/study and the field of activity/field of study indicated in
the application for their compliance with the Conference topic. Discrepancy may
be grounds for rejecting the application.
- The applicant must belong to one of the participant categories.
- The applicant must have a professional (scientific, pedagogical, managerial) or educational connection to the theme of the Conference, confirmed in the application by indicating their workplace/educational institution, position held, and area of activity.
- The application must include a brief justification of the professional or educational interest in the selected section's theme and the expected benefits from participation.
- The submission of the application must comply with participation conditions.
* In cases of equal compliance with selection criteria, priority will be given to the
applicant who submitted their application at an earlier date.
